We Support Local Producers
Calling all local lovers! Our selection of locally produced items is growing daily as we actively seek and promote small vendors within our communities. When you purchase goods produced nearby, you’re supporting your local economy and the livelihood of family farms and small businesses. Food produced nearby requires less transportation, which in turn makes it fresher and more flavorful.
How We Define Local
Next time you shop with us, keep your eyes peeled for our local promotion signs, measured on three levels of localness: county, state and regional.

We"re Proud To Support Local Organizations
Among the many worthy community organizations we are proud to partner with and support, there are three that stand out as especially aligned with our company. We share many of the same goals and interests with these three: Sustainable Connections, Skagitonians to Preserve Farmlands and ReSources.
Sustainable Connections is an organization of over 500 local businesses in Whatcom and Skagit County, working to transform and model an economy built on sustainable business practices. These include strong community, healthy environment, meaningful employment and buying local first. For more information, check out www.sustainableconnections.org
Skagitonians to Preserve Farmlands is committed to supporting the local farmers of Skagit County's rich soils, and to keep small farms viable and sustainable. They particularly promote the variety and quality of Skagit's wealth of harvests. Learn more with www.skagitonians.org
Finally, RESources, Whatcom County's premier environmental education organization, has led the way to countywide recycling, including food and yard waste and toxics, watershed protection, cleanup and education for all ages. The ReStore in Bellingham and Seattle sell used building materials. Read all about it at www.re-sources.org
